Oh yes he did!!!

So I have been making little flowery bows and trying to work on them to make them better so that when Sarah is bigger and saying Momma I need a bow like that...I can do it. Poor Sarah my model the flash was killing her. These are my beautiful, HOMEMADE, yes mom all homemade. Coconut Shrimp!!! I will say that again, I made homemade coconut shrimp. Derick loved it, I thought it was good, and Kurtis wiped all the breaded coconut stuff off and then ate six shrimps! Here is where the title comes from...yes my friends and family Kurtis did it he rode on rides at a FAIR...or Carnival thing...whatever it's called. Derick had his football draft...BOO...yes it is that season again. So I decided to go to the Festiva La Ballona. It was fantastic! Kurtis rode a pony, fished for a prize, made a painted freezbie, looked at the inside of a firetruck, rode a carousel, and went down the slide by himself!!! I teared up the entire time he was riding down thinking man he is getting so grown up. Then Derick met us there (thanks Damon) and Kurtis got to ride the Ferris Wheel (reminded me of the one in Myrtle Beach) and then proceeded to ride the slide again with DADDY!! It was a fantastic weekend before Derick starts back up to school and work!

its our life!!

Last week we decided to venture out to the new Santa Monica Mall, it was beautiful but not really filled with tons of stores for the kids to play in. We decided to go out to the promenade and walk around as well which is always VERY entertaining! A lady making balloon animals, flowers, or other things made some swords and gave one to Kurtis. Over all it was a great way to get out of the house and walk around in the wonderful fresh air!! The view is also TERRIFIC....again, this is why we live where we do!Sarah wanted a turn on Kurtis' bike, she was smiling and laughing so hard but the photo just shows her eating the bike...sorry!

For GG and Pops

I know you two have been missing our daily post, so this ones for you!!!

We went and did some back to school shopping for Kurtis and found this adorable shirt for Sarah. I saw it, it reminded me of Aunt Muriel with all of the butterflies.
Sarah has become much more mobile and even started standing on her own (once we capture that on camera we will post it!). Since she is so mobile we have needed a gate, and since we had this large box we have been using it as our gate.Kurtis made this awesome wooden airplane and had to show you Pops. He made it fly on the video camera for you too!
When Derick and I first got married we talked about having children and how fun it would be when we all piled into the bed together. Well, EVERY morning the kids wake up early and hang out with us in the bed. Sarah loves to look out the window and "squeals" at the birds. It is pretty funny.Other then all that, I have been back at crafts again. I put some appliques on some sweatshirts for Kurtis and made some bows for Sarah and gifts.

Day #13

Yippie!!!
Day 13, Zoe is back...and I got to play with her today! We had such a great day, it started early and we got a ton done! Then I went to play at Zoie's house while Momma got work done. Poor Sarah was so tired she hit her head on the corner of the entertainment center. (She was so tough and barely cried!) She has a pretty bad bruise on her forehead but was ok. We had a great adventure at Toys R Us, we went to pick up sippy cups and things for Sarah but Momma let me look at the toys. I found a new kind of Lego's that I want to put on my birthday and christmas list. We found one that is a green mustang!!! Then we got to the register and Momma realized that she forgot her wallet at home. She held it together this time and did not cry though. Only three more days, we love you!

day # 1-2...12

Has it been that long since we saw you?
Today started with Momma finally finding her keys after two weeks in the fridge. She laughed so hard she cried. I played outside and rode my scooter all over the place, can't wait till you are home to fix my bike though! After momma was done working we went to Kiel and Melissa's for dinner. It was great to play with their doggy Montana! Bruce even woke up at the end and I got to hold him!! Momma's camera died this afternoon but Kiel took some photos for us that we will post tomorrow. Here are some funny faces that he sent Momma already.Only four more days!!

Day #11

Daddy first thing this morning I built an airport on the train table with my big legos. This afternoon momma planned a playdate for me with Brent, it was lots of fun. Vin came over too we played dress up, we played in the sand table, and on the train table. Then I went to the park and got a lot of energy out.I didn't take any photos of Sarah but here is a video from the other night that was kind of cute. We were trying to "practice sharing" with Sarah (really so Kurtis would learn to stop snatching things from her...) but the part that is funny is how excited she gets singing into the microphone.

day #10

Momma and I played with legos today and had a ton of fun! She actually was able to make me a train. When Sarah woke up from her nap we went and played with Baxter at the Johnson's house. Then, I went swimming with Vin and his family to try and get energy out. Sarah bonked her cheek bone on the dishwasher door.
Miss you so much!

Day #9

Just barely made it....before #10!
Daddy- I built my first train track by myself today!!! Momma said I was a very good helper with Sarah too who was having a problem going down for her first nap, she was too tired. We went to church today, there I was not such a good listener, Momma said I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off. Not sure what that means but she said I was crazy. Sarah was really tired and wanted a bottle during Sacrament but Sister Anderson (Thank you Betty) helped Momma and took her for a bit. After church Sarah took a really great, long nap, and was the happiest we have seen her in a while. I helped Momma and washed all of the play dishes because Sarah has been chewing on them. Over all it was a great day.We love you and can't wait to see you next Sunday!! (I really wanted to cut me out of this picture, but Kurtis insisted that we use this picture with both of us, he is really missing you as we all are!)
