Birthday Celebration!!

On Saturday we celebrated Kurtis' 5th Birthday with a party at the church. We had a lot of fun, and are so grateful for such great friends and family! Thank you all for your love, support and help with throwing a great party for our little man! With Sarah being born last year we kind of neglected his birthday, so this year we made up for it. He requested a bouncer, pinata and pizza; and we aim to please. Amy made an awesome tank birthday cake, as it is her tradition of making a birthday cake to match the party theme. She has outdone herself this year! Here are some pics from the occasion:

Our Recent Events...

Here are some photos that I found on the camera and forgot to blog about.

We went trick or treating a little bit on Halloween with our friends the McDowell's. One of their neighbors had a statue of THE PREDATOR. Sarah was terrified when Derick got close to it...it was funny. Here is Kurtis at his school Halloween parade.

When Sarah gets too tired she constantly lays her head on the couch its too cute and funny.
Kurtis' class has a pet bunny named Gus that we took a turn and brought home...yes he is a stuffed animal. We had fun and took him on all of our errands, and then we made cookies but some how the oven jumped from 350 to 425....and we burnt some. Oh well, over all it was a great night with Gus!!Sarah loves her bath time, she kicks, splashes, and just has a great time. When ever she splashes people she laughs so hard...

Hope you all enjoyed your Halloween!!

our Little Ones

Sarah did great at her year check up.
She is 29 inches long, weighs 19 lbs. 14 ounces, and her head is 44.8 cm.
She has started to really get the hang of walking and continues to try and run after Kurtis. She absolutely adores her brother and will take interest in just about whatever he is interested in. She loves any sort of music and will find a beat to dance to whenever there is music near.

Little Kurtis update: he scored a goal last week (from half way down the field) and again this week he scored a goal. He is improving!!

Sarah is ONE!!

Happy Birthday to our little one...we love her so much. She is so happy all of the time. She is walking (stumbling) around a lot, she can say lots of words (all done, cracker, pear, momma, dadda, dadurs...Kurtis) most of them have to do with food, she is my daughter. We had family and some friends over for a little birthday this weekend. She made a complete mess of the cupcake that daddy made for her. We have her one year appointment this week so I will update you and let you know her stats afterwards. Here are some recent fun photos of her.

our big boy

This week has been a busy week for our little boy!!

Kurtis had his first soccer game which he scored a goal and had a ton of fun with the boys on his team.
He and I had a mommy & son date to see Walking With The Dinosaurs, I highly recommend if you have a lover of dinosaurs like we do take them to this!!! It was amazing, the photos did not come out well because you are not supposed to use flash photography (...because it might startle the animals??- yeah that is what I said). The video is pretty cool though, we were in the VERY top of the seating and the dinosaurs were still right there!
and then big moment....he started kindergarten! We are excited for him and know that he will do great.Sarah and I will be sitting alone wondering where our Kurtis is right around lunch time!
