Family Vacation!!!

First of all, I forgot our camera at home in CA, so we do not have many photos of the beginning of our trip, but I got over it, at least other people took pictures for me to use.

Derick and Kurtis had spring break so we decided to take advantage of the time to go visit family, it was nice to relax and spend time with those family members we do not get to see often. We love you guys and already miss you!!

We got to see Jackie and she had a wonderful shower!

We celebrated Katie's birthday...twice, three times...whatever, Happy Birthday Katie!

We played outside in the HUGE yard!

We got Sarah's ears pierced!

We went to the air and space museum!

Some of our favorites were the dinosaur bones, the "stuffed" mammals, and the forensic bones exhibit. We didn't get many photos because the flash was not working well indoors.

Then we relaxed on the metro...whew...we were tired!!!

We dyed Easter eggs, and celebrated Easter.

Then we hung out with Nanny, Kenny, and Gringo! Karen and Kenny got Kurtis a minature Gringo that he took everywhere so of course we had to take a photo with BOTH gringos.

We loved it, thank you all so much, love you!!

Chicken Pox

As promised here are the photos of my sweet, happy, poor, little, infected girl!!

The day before the chicken pox hit her she was her normal happy self.

Then she started getting spots.

By the end she was covered all over (this is not even when they were the worst)!!Here is Kurtis and the toy he has been saving up money for, we call him Broch.

Happy, Productive Times....

We have had a very productive, happy week.

Since Derick is taking night classes, I have been busy working on some crafts...which are all gifts so hopefully they have already been received and I am not spoiling any surprises!

AfterSarah has chicken pox this week, i will post my feelings on that later. Before that hit her she was a happy little girl, here she is jumping away in her jumperoo, she loves that and has really strong legs!! If she is not in her jumperoo she will jump where ever she is or with whomever is holding her. Here is a photo of one of the bows that her Aunt Jordan made for her, they are so cute!!

So this picture of Kurtis was taken at Serene and Damon's wedding, and yes he is totally hamming it up for the camera!! Derick's sister thought he got that from Derick but my sister reminded everyone on facebook (thanks Katie) that as a child I was a ham too!! What we are up to...

Where to start, so many things have happened since my last post.
We have a new Pikula family member, Derick's brother got married to Serene!!
Congratulations to them, it was beautiful and the reception was AMAZING!!!I have been trying out new recipes: Happy Faced Pancakes, Apple Pie, Chicken/Steak Pot Pie, Italian Pulled Pork BBQ, Lemon Bars, Tortellini Stew, and I am thinking about taking a cooking class in a few months.Kurtis has been making a lot of crafts, and this week was the first week he started to be very curious about reading. He has started putting letters together to make words, he enjoys asking lots of questions (and we are loving that too), and he built his own robot this week. It is so interesting how their brains work!Sarah is trying to get up and run with Kurtis. She is really starting to roll, she loves to play with toys, to grab her feet, and this week she tried rice cereal. My sister in law made her some adorable bow here is just a sample, I told her she needed to start an etsy shop, thanks Jordan!! Also, my friend Aileen, who does sell her bows online sent Sarah some adorable headbands she is so cute in them, thank you too Aileen. Now all we need is for her to grow her hair!Derick started school and is loving it as usual. We both were taking care of the move this past week and are really starting to feel settled in. We love our new place!!

Sea World....

YES WE MADE IT!!! The weather was PERFECT!! The children loved it, I loved it, and we took some great photos!! We found the sky bar to see "Shamu" up close which was really neat! Plus, we found the Shamu and Herbie car put together, Kurtis finally found the car he wants to drive when he turns 16!!
