Sorry for NO posts!!!

The sad sad news is that our camera has broken and it has been a struggle for me to not be able to take pictures. Then I had stored a few funny videos on our flip video, so I plugged it into my computer to download them and a sweet little monster....aka crazy hair...decided to yank it out. Well she yanked out everything but the USB part so now my flip video will video but can not download videos.

I promise to take care of this issue so that I can keep our dear family and friends updated. Here is a little update for you with photos from my NON-iPhone sorry, it is all I have.

1.) So we moved from apartment living to a house! YEAH!! It is so quiet we are still getting used to the children sleeping through the night with no issues! (**KNOCK ON WOOD, I do not need a no sleeping streak.)

2.) My brother and his family, and my mom came to visit!! We went to Disneyland, the pumpkin patch, and some delicious restaurants! Ryan and Jordan have photos, once they e-mail them I will post.
3.) Sarah had a birthday and turned 2....my BABY is two!! Time flies! For her birthday she asked to go to the castles and meet the princesses so we did and then just had cake and ice cream for her birthday. It was perfect for her age, and she LOVED meeting the princesses! Aurora is her favorite, although she would say they were all her favorite! She is talking non-stop, she loves to sing all kinds of music, she frequently plays babies, dress up, and she loves any arts and crafts. She is growing at a pretty steady rate, the doctor told us not to be surprised if she was a petite girl. We love her very very much and appreciate her bright smiling face. She says the funniest things some times. Like this morning she was putting on her underwear and she said oh cupcakes on my butt, because her underwear had cupcakes on them!! Her sweet little voice makes it even better! Too funny!

4.) Halloween came around...and we had a fairy princess and a ninja captain named Captain Chocolate. They decided they didn't want to be anything mainstream just their own things, which we loved!! We carved a Tinkerbell and a Boba Fett pumpkin, which both won at our church Trunk or Treat.
5.) Kurtis turned 6 today, actually at 2:04 PM he will be 6! He has his first loose tooth, he is learning how to read, loves math, and is really enjoying playtime with any of his friends. He goes to the doctor next week so I will post his stats then. For his birthday he chose to go to Disneyland because of Star Tours, and so yes we have gone twice and have one more trip planned for the whole family!! Kurtis is our little sponge, he soaks up everything around him and we have to be careful because of it. We love him so much and really enjoy the way he is growing into a young man!

We can't wait for more new things, and look forward to the holiday season approaching!!

First Day of School!!!

Kurtis started Kindergarten and is LOVING it!!! The first day of school when some of the other children were not focused on the teacher all of Kurtis' classmates and him from last years T-K class (Transitional Kindergarten, basically a two year Kindergarten program which we completely believe in!) were focused, quiet and listening so well to his teacher. He has quickly made friends this year and is really enjoying learning more and more. We can not wait to see how he continues to learn and grow this year. Here are some photos from the first week of school.
At his desk waiting for instruction.

In line waiting for the assembly to begin.
In line after lunch!

The first day of school for Kurtis we had no tears from him, or me I might add, but Ms. Sarah cried the whole way home. She misses her brother tremendously and as soon as she wakes from her nap is very excited to go and pick him up. She is loving having just her and I at home now that it has been a few weeks. She has playdates with her friends, we go to music makers and she just loves to play with her baby dolls.

Swim Lessons

This year when we did swim lessons Kurtis did really well. I think it had to do a little with him practicing all summer long, and A LOT to do with having a TERRIFIC teacher in VA. **Nanny is the best swim teacher ever!!! She has taught many children how to swim!**

Here he is at the beginning being tested to see what level he is.
Kurtis had a ton of fun and at the end of the swim lessons he even dove off of the high diving board!! Great job Kurtis we love you.

NOTE: All pictures in this post provided by Anne, THANK YOU!!!

Jax and Tucker came to VA.

I was so lucky to be able to see all of my siblings this summer, and we rounded it out with seeing Mrs. Jax. Jackie and her son Tucker came to visit, the kids loved having both of them here.
Dad grew a cantaloupe!
and it was really good....
...so good one little girl skipped a donut for it!!
We updated the parents shower curtain.

Final Road Trip!!!

Our FINAL road trip in Virginia we decided to travel to Washington D.C. and we were joined by a special visitor!!!
That is right...Derick came into town and surprised the kids. This is not the best picture of Derick but it was the only one I have close enough to see him well and I think it is too funny with Sarah picking her nose!

We took a weekend trip to Washington D.C. and saw all of the sites that Kurtis loves the Air and Space Museum, Natural History Museum, The White House, Lincoln and Washington Monument, and The Capitol. It was so very very hot, we were quickly moving from one place to the other trying to not over heat.

Air and Space Museum- (The older one)
Natural History Museum-
Derick and I saw HP 7.2 on the Imax at the Natural History Museum!!!
The White House-

Washington and Lincoln Monument-

The Capitol-
We stayed right down the street from The White House at the J.W. Marriott, and of course with my mom's status at the Marriott we were up graded to a wonderful view.
Sarah was so excited to have McDonalds for breakfast!!!
Then we wrapped it up at the Washington Zoo, where we did not take many pictures, but we did get a picture of the Orangutans that pooped on someones head! It was not our heads, so it was funny to us!
