YES WE MADE IT!!! The weather was PERFECT!! The children loved it, I loved it, and we took some great photos!! We found the sky bar to see "Shamu" up close which was really neat! Plus, we found the Shamu and Herbie car put together, Kurtis finally found the car he wants to drive when he turns 16!!
People keep asking Derick and I who Sarah looks like the only constant is that everyone thinks she looks like Kurtis. I am still working on scanning some baby photos of Derick and I in so you can compare us to our children, but here are some photos of both Kurtis and Sarah to start to figure out if they really look alike. These are photos of them at three months....here they are with me.... here they are with derick....No matter who they look like, they love each other, and we love them!!This week Sarah really started to roll from her tummy to her back, she laughs, smiles, and lights up our lives.Kurtis is going through another growth spurt (I believe...at least in his feet), he loves to imagine fun stories of him and dinosaurs, and is really enjoying every moment of school.
With the holiday this weekend we decided to do something as a family, so we let Kurtis choose. He of course chose SEAWORLD....Derick got the tickets and we were all ready and then SADLY it was raining. We both knew we would need to take him somewhere he would love just as much as SeaWorld if that is possible. So we went to the Car Museum and we had TONS of fun! Herbie was his favorite, although he enjoyed the Kurtis car as well.
Okay, for anyone who has children that likes trains and is in the area of Los Angeles, CA you need to take them to Travel Town. I took Zoie and Kurtis before school started back up. We had a ton of fun. We climbed into old "retired" trains, we watched the models go around, around AND around in the museum, and rode the small train around the park. It was a great little adventure! The two of them took some adorable pictures: Zoie wanted to pose for the camera but Kurtis was a little occupied with all the trains.
Derick asked me the other week why we choose to live in Los Angeles, well the first highlight of our week is my reason why.
The weather was so nice so for a few days this week we were able to go to the beach and relax.Kurtis, Sarah and I enjoyed that wonderful weather the other days of the week by going for a bike ride.I went to Cheesecake Factory and tasted "The Stefani", it is cheesecake and red velvet cake put together, wow that was delicious! Then as usual we played with the hot wheels, Sarah really loved that!
We watched the Polar Express in 3-D...We opened presents....
We ate lots of goodies....
and afterwards......we worked out (disregard my lovely pants....derick thought it was too cute of a photo to pass up!)Overall we had a great holiday season!!
Kurtis' school had a winter performance, we practiced and practiced but still did not think he was going to get on stage. BUT HE DID IT and he did it really well!!! He and all of his classmates did a wonderful job and yes he did bring a little tear to my eye, he is growing so fast!!!
