The reason we came...

The reason we drove all the way to Utah and made that wonderfully special trip was to meet my new niece Baby Reece!  She was blessed while we were there and we took lots of photos!!  The kids all loved holding her and were so sweet!!  It was a very very fun trip and we enjoyed seeing all of the family there!!  THANKS!!

Hogle Zoo

Next we decided to go visit their zoo in SLC.  It was great because their zoo has lots of animals that our zoo does not.  I thought the completely blind seal was the most interesting to learn about.  Sarah's favorite thing was to read the map and tell us all where to go...her and Ella really loved discussing the plan!  Kurtis wanted to see every animal and wandered off a few times to try and explore on his own...which was very scary in a few moments as it was such a busy day at the zoo.  I think he learned his lesson since he missed some of his favorite animals because we were all looking for him.  Great trip to the zoo even though it was very very hot!!

Utah Trip Part 2

We joined my parents, brothers family, and sister and went to a very very fun and exciting Dinosaur Park.  When I was explaining it to Derick he was thinking more like a Dinosaur Museum....which it had too but it was more like a statue Jurassic Park!!!  Kurtis and Sarah both LOVED it!!!  We took a lot of photos with all the kids together...so enjoy!

Our Summer Trip

Since our summer was so short we didn't really feel like we had a full summer vacation but we enjoyed our time while we could.  My brother was blessing his baby in UT so I decided to pack the kids in the car and drive to meet my family there in UT.  I have never driven to UT before but it was a wonderful drive that I am blessed we made safely there and back.  First stop Park City, and some very touristy UT stops.

One thing that our entire family enjoys is....THE CIRCUS....and who doesn't love the circus!  We had so much fun and loved every moment of going!!

Swim Lessons!!!

This year for swim lessons we went to Culver Plunge again and Kurtis took the lessons with his very good friend...they had a fantastic time.  It was great having them both doing swim lessons at the same time in the same level.  They both drove each other to work harder and be better each day!

After a week of lessons we went and got some donuts to celebrate!!

July 4th Part 2- FIREWORKS

We went to fireworks at the marina and loved camping out waiting for them to happen.  We all played games, ate dinner, and people watched.  Kurtis has been asking to see fireworks at the beach for about 3 years now, so finally we did as we said we would and it was so much fun.  We also went and saw the fireworks at a local college here, they put on a terrific show and it was inside an arena which was full of families and lots of vendors for us to walk around and see.  I think as a mom I enjoyed the local college better, but it was fun seeing fireworks on July 4th no matter what!!
