Pumpkin Patch

We went to the Pumpkin Patch a few times and the kids probably would have gone back again if they could.  We picked pumpkins, found our way through the hay maze, took funny pictures, rode the train, and bouncer!  It was a great time afterwards we carved the pumpkins.  So much fun!!

Sarah's Ballet and Birthday

Sarah has started ballet and is enjoying every minute of it, and even when she is not in class she is running around leaping with pointy toes and arms raised in a "ballet position".  She certainly loves it!  It was also her birthday so we had a little gathering to celebrate that with pink cupcakes and vanilla ice cream...everything she wanted!

First Day of School

First Day of First Grade was a ton of fun and Kurtis was very very excited!  He came home praising his teacher and saying how much of a great year it was going to be!!  I am happy that he is so happy with school and really enjoying learning this year.

The Fair

We decided to go to the Fair as a family one Saturday morning!!  We had a lot of fun and saw some things we do not get to see in the city!  We also learned from one of the many 4H groups some daily farm chores.  That was one of Kurtis and Sarah's favorite section!

We milked cows
Collected chicken eggs
Used the tractor
saw miniature pigs race!
and they were fast!
saw lazy fat pigs!!
rode fun rides!
took a nap
Then we went home....and on the way hit some MAJOR traffic....once we saw what the traffic was caused by we were VERY VERY upset!

A semi truck had hit the median and gone through to BOTH sides of the freeway.  Both sides only had one lane open.  It was ridiculous!
Here is a video of Kurtis on one of the rides, he loved them all.  We had a great time!

The reason we came...

The reason we drove all the way to Utah and made that wonderfully special trip was to meet my new niece Baby Reece!  She was blessed while we were there and we took lots of photos!!  The kids all loved holding her and were so sweet!!  It was a very very fun trip and we enjoyed seeing all of the family there!!  THANKS!!

Proof that Sarah let Ryan (my brother) hold her for a second...and only a second.

Hogle Zoo

Next we decided to go visit their zoo in SLC.  It was great because their zoo has lots of animals that our zoo does not.  I thought the completely blind seal was the most interesting to learn about.  Sarah's favorite thing was to read the map and tell us all where to go...her and Ella really loved discussing the plan!  Kurtis wanted to see every animal and wandered off a few times to try and explore on his own...which was very scary in a few moments as it was such a busy day at the zoo.  I think he learned his lesson since he missed some of his favorite animals because we were all looking for him.  Great trip to the zoo even though it was very very hot!!
